Concrete Treatments - Treatment - Corrosion Inhibiting Admixtures
Product Description
Sika CNI is a calcium nitrate based admixture designed to inhibit the corrosion of steel in reinforced concrete. Sika CNI contains a minimum of 30% calcium nitrate by mass & is formulated to meet AS 1478, 1-2000 Type SAc.
Meyco MCI 2006–1 is a powdered corrosion inhibiting grout additive, that is used in conjunction with standard cement grout. Meyco MCI 2006–1 contains one of the most effective corrosion inhibiting components in use today. The additive does not affect compressive strength or bond strength of the final grout, but does provide a migratory field of corrosion protection to all the embedded steel. The inhibitor can actually migrate through the pores of the grout or concrete matrix to effectively cover all metal surfaces within the grout. This migratory effect provides additional corrosive protection in the event of movement within the grouted borehole.
Meyco MCI 2006-1 is recommended for inclusion in all rock and cable bolt anchoring grouts. It is ideal for inclusion with all cementitious anchoring grouts where corrosion protection of steel or ferrous materials is desired. Thixotropic grout with Meyco MCI 2006-1 would provide the ideal corrosion resistance to grouted split-sets.
